How PUDO collection works in Lagos, step by step.

    Routing

    Picked orders are routed from the Lagos warehouse to the pickup point closest to the customer — live PUDO zones: Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki, Ajah; Ikeja, Yaba, Surulere, Alimosho, Ikorodu.

    Notification

    The customer is notified with the partner address, opening hours and a collection code once the parcel is ready for collection.

  3. 3

    Collection + COD

    The customer presents the code and collects. Where COD is configured, the partner collects by cash at the door or bank transfer on delivery and it settles in Nigerian naira (NGN) on the daily manifest. Where COD is not configured, the parcel is prepaid before it is routed to a pickup point.

  4. 4

    Uncollected parcels

    Parcels are held for the collection window, then marked Not Collected and returned to MFT through the structured returns flow — with escalation on anything unresolved.

  5. 5

    Returns intake

    Customer returns are dropped at the same Lagos pickup points and swept back to the Lagos warehouse on the recurring run — returns are live on every configured Nigeria route.

If a door delivery fails

Where PUDO is configured for the zone, the parcel is re-routed to the nearest Lagos pickup point instead of bouncing straight back to the warehouse — the customer is notified with the new address and collection code.

If a parcel is never collected

Uncollected and refused parcels follow the status flow back to MFT — Not Collected, Returned to MFT, then Escalated if unresolved. The outcome is itemised on the same daily reconciliation as your Naira COD, so every parcel stays traceable to a payout line.

Anything outside those rows goes through route review before COD is switched on, because a collection we cannot reconcile is worse for you than a prepaid order.

Collections settle in Nigerian naira (NGN). Reconciliation runs daily, against your order manifest, and payout timing is confirmed in your nigeria service schedule — the schedule is written into your agreement rather than left open. Every payment arrives with the reconciliation reference behind it, so each amount ties back to named orders.

The rider logs a reason code at the point of refusal — refused, not reachable, wrong address, part payment — and the parcel is rescheduled up to the attempt count agreed at onboarding. After that it is held for collection where a pickup point is available, or brought back to the Lagos intake for you to restock, retry or recall. The reason code stays attached to the order so repeat failure patterns are visible instead of anecdotal.

Parcels routed to a pickup point are held at a vetted partner location in Lagos (Island) and Lagos (Mainland). The buyer gets a collection notification with the parcel reference, collects during the partner's own opening hours, and the collection is logged against the order. Where COD applies, the partner takes payment on collection using the same methods as door delivery.

Collection is verified against the parcel reference and the phone number on the order. Partner locations ask for the reference and, where the order is high value or the collector is not the buyer, identification matching the order name. Rules that go beyond that — a fixed value threshold, a signature requirement — are set in your service schedule so your customer-facing copy can state them accurately.

Returns run on the Lagos (Island), Lagos (Mainland), FCT Abuja, Rivers, Oyo and Kano rows. A parcel that is refused, undelivered after the agreed attempts, or left uncollected past its holding window is logged against the original order, brought back for inspection at intake, and resolved on your instruction — restock, hold or return to sender. Who bears each leg and the holding window itself are commercial terms in your agreement, not a site-wide promise.

Stock for Nigeria is received and held under the arrangement named on the Nigeria country page before you ship anything — Lagos is the working intake and dispatch point for this market. Goods-in is counted against your manifest, discrepancies are raised the same operating day, and you are told in writing who is holding the stock rather than being given a generic "our warehouse" answer.

Storage, goods-in counting, pick and pack, labelling and dispatch handover run as one sequence for Nigeria — stored stock is only useful if it can leave on the same operating day, so both sides sit with the same team. Packaging specification, insert handling and any SKU-level rules are set at onboarding and applied per order, not improvised at the bench.
